Four sentenced to death by Kandy high Court

The Kandy High Court sentenced four persons to death found guilty of murdering a person in Palagolla area in Pussellawa, a short while ago.

The judgment was delivered when the case was taken up for hearing before High Court Judge Manilal Waidyathilake.

The accused were indicted on charges of murdering Chanaka Perera a resident of Pussellawa area on or near a day 2 September 1999. The convicted persons are P.B. Ruwan Perera, W.M. Brian, Anura Priyantha and H. Roshan.

The case was heard in absentia of one accuse as he died a few years ago.
