Mysterious skeletal remains found in Ahungalla

Police have discovered several human skeletal remains at a cinnamon cultivation land in Katuwila, Ahungalla.
The discovery was made by officers of the Ahungalla Police according to information received this morning from a resident in the area, the Police Spokesman’s Office said.
The skeletal remains have been determined as to belonging to a male, however the identity of the deceased has not been verified yet.
Police said a rope was found tied to a tree near the location of the discovery and therefore suspect that he may have committed suicide by hanging himself.
Ahungalla Police are conducting further investigations into the skeletal remains.
