Woman self-immolates in Kantale

A 55-year-old woman has committed self-immolation in the Peraru area in Kantale. Police said the woman had doused herself with kerosene before setting herself on fire.
She was rushed to the Kantale Hospital with severe burns, however succumbed to injuries shortly after.
The deceased, a resident of Peraru, had been mentally ill for a long period of time, according to police inquiries.
