17 STF officers injured in road mishap

At least 17 Police Special Task Force (STF) officials wounded and admitted to Kantale Base hospital following a road accident in Palugaswewa, today morning.
The accident occurred as the bus travelling towards Trincomalee attempted to overtake a tipper along Palugaswewa to Kandy route, police said. A source from the hospital confirmed that the lives of injured persons are out of danger.
