Interim order have an effect on EC only- GMOA Central Working Committee

The Central Working Committee of the Government Medical Officers Association (GMAO) today held a media conference in Colombo, despite a court interim injunction, claiming the order have an effect on its Executive Committee (EC) only.

Committee member Dr. Champika Epitakaduwa made the observation when a journalist raised a query, on this regard.

Epitakaduwa also pointed out that the GMOA expresses the complete disapproval on the situation occurred at the Colombo National Hospital, yesterday, where doctors from two groups collided. 

The tense situation erupted when one group tried to conduct a public meeting outside the hospital and another group had come there in opposition to it.
