Wele Sudha’s wife and mother-in-law arrested

The police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) have arrested the wife and the mother-in-law of notorious drug kingpin, Samantha Kumara Vithanage alias ‘Wele Sudha’, in Madiwela last night.
According to the police, the two suspects were taken into custody in connection with seizure of 85 kilograms of brown sugar heroin in Kelaniya on 12 June.
In a previous occasion, Wele Sudha’s wife Gayani Priyadharshani alias Suji was apprehended at the Bandaranaike International Airport in 2012.
The PNB believe the drug lord who reportedly resides in Pakistan, operates the heroin trafficking ring in the country through his networks in India, Singapore Pakistan, and Dubai.
