Awaiting to receive new stationery...

Children were seen eagerly awaiting their turn to receive new stationery during an event held the Northern Province Governor’s Office. 

To honour the forthcoming War Heroes’ Day, students from 1000 low-income families in the Northern Province were gifted school bags, books and other stationery items yesterday (18).

The event took place at the Governor’s Office of the Northern Province, in collaboration with a press conference held with the Governor of the Northern Province, Reginald Cooray.

Chandrika Cooray, Secretary to the Governor, L. Ilaangovan, Private Secretary to the Governor, J. M. Somasiri and many other officials were present at this occasion.
