Uva election - Badulla preferential voting numbers issued

The preferential voting numbers of candidates contesting for the Uva Provincial Council Elections in Badulla district was issued today.

The candidates contesting from the election were summoned to the Badulla District Secretariat, in order to collect their preferential voting numbers. 

All together 617 candidates (323 - Monaragala and 294 - Badulla) representing 14 political parties and 11 independent groups will contest the election. 14 councilors will be elected for the Moneragala district while 18 will be elected for the Badulla district.

The Uva provincial council election will be held on the 20 September.
