Met Department warns of rough seas

The Department of Meteorology today requested naval and fishing communities to be vigilant as the deep and shallow sea areas off the coast extending from Katunayaka to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle will be rough at times.
Further, the wind speed in the above sea areas can strengthen up to 70kmph, a severe weather advisory issued by the Early Warning Centre said.
Fairly strong winds can be experienced in the said coastal areas too.
