Man caught selling ganja near preschool

A suspect has been arrested while allegedly selling marijuana near a preschool in the Pallama area.
Police said that 27 packets of cannabis, Rs 100,580 in cash and a mobile phone found in the possession of the suspect was taken into custody along with a three-wheeler used to distribute the illegal drugs.
The suspect, 35, a resident of Pottukkulama in Pallama, had revealed to police during interrogations that the marijuana is supplied by an individual from Chilaw to be sold in Pallama.
The suspect and evidence are to be produced before the Puttalam District Court while Pallama Police are conducting further investigations.
