Wasp attack kills 55-year old in Hatton

A 55-year-old person was killed and six others were injured after being stung by a swarm of wasps in Dimbulapathana area in Hatton, this morning.

The wasp hive was set on a nearby tree and it got stirred and attacked the victims who were engaged in devotional activities at a religious place, Ada Derana reporter said. 

The injured persons have been rushed to the Kotagala Base hospital. The deceased was a resident of Dimbulapathana area in Hatton.
