Jumbo attack kills one more

A woman was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Handungamuwa area in Wilgamuwa, early hours of this morning.
 
The Wilgamuwa police have identified the deceased as D.T. Perera (54), a mother of two children.
 
According to the police, the tragedy occurred while she was on her way to her sister’s house.
 
The victim according to the police had died instantly following the elephant attack and her body had later been taken to the Wilgamuwa Base hospital.
 
The postmortem examination of the deceased will conduct by the Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) of the Wilgamuwa hospital, tomorrow.
