Uva PC Polls: First postal vote results released

The first result of the 2014 Uva Provincial Council Election was released a short while ago with the ruling United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) obtaining the highest Postal Votes in the Monaragala Administrative District.
The UPFA has received a total of 5,632 postal votes, over 56 per cent, while the United National Party (UNP) has obtained 2,800 votes (27.9%).
The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) has obtained 1,001 postal votes while Sarath Fonseka’s Democratic Party (DP) comes in fourth with 395 votes (3.94%). Uva PC Polls: First postal vote results released
