Woman killed by lightning in Kekirawa

A woman, mother of three children, was killed after being struck by lightning, in Indigaswewa area in Kekirawa, the police said.
 
The tragedy occurred last night near her residence situated some five kilometers off the Kekirawa Town.
 
The police have identified the deceased as 42-year-old, and her body was sent to the Kekirawa Base Hospital, for the post-mortem examination.
 
Heavy rain fall and lightning had been reported in the area from Monday morning.
