October 1, 2014   03:07 pm

The Ministry of Public Administration says that 6 October has been declared a public and special bank holiday in lieu of Hajj festival filling on 5 October.

The Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, and a mandatory religious duty for Muslims which must be carried out at least once in lifetime by every adult Muslim who is physically and financially capable of undertaking the journey, and can support his family during his absence.
