Mattegoda Army Camp fire under control

Army Spokesman Brigadier Ruwan Wanigasooriya said that the fire broke out at the Mattegoda army camp following an explosion in the armoury has been doused and completely under control. 
 
The fire had broken out at the Mattegoda army camp following an explosion in the armoury that took place at approximately 7.30am this morning.

No causalities are reported from the blast and the subsequent fire. The cause of fire has been not identified yet. A team from the Government Analyst Department is expected to visit the site for examinations.
