No more betrayers in UPFA: Minister Pavithra

November 23, 2014   06:26 pm

Minister of Power and Energy Pavithra Wanniarachchi assured that no one else will leave the party nor betray it as ex-General Secretary Maithripala Sirisena did.

The observation was made during a press conference held in Colombo, today.

The Minister added that she was totally disappointed with the fact that Maithripala Sirisena had betrayed the party and involved in what she explains as an international conspiracy against the Government.

She added that Maithripala Sirisena not only betrayed the party but also has now become a key person struggling to bring Opposition Leader Ranil Wickramasinghe back in power.

However, the Minister said that despite Maithripala Sirisena and some other members had crossed over, President Mahinda Rajapaksa has no competition to re-elect with a huge margin and continue his third term.
