Missing school principal returns home

The principal of the Hewavitharana Vidyalaya in Rajagiriya, who was reported missing for the past five days, has returned to his home last night, police said.

A brother of the principal in question notified police that he had returned to his home at around 9.00pm yesterday (23), police spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said.

However, he has now been admitted to a hospital for treatment, he said.

The police spokesman said that a statement will be recorded from the principal after he receives treatment and that further investigations would be carried out accordingly.

The school principal had been missing since last Wednesday (19) while a special police operation was launched to locate him.
