Technical snag delays coastal railway services

November 25, 2014   10:26 am

The Department of Railways says that coastal area train services will be temporary terminated for few hours, this morning.

This came due to an unexpected rail track repair between Bambalapitiya and Wellawattearea railway stations.

Therefore, Matara bound trains will be delayed for few hours, but steps have been taken to make way for morning Colombo bound trains without any delay.

A source from the department said that the railway track will be restored by this afternoon.
