I joined this government to win over the hearts of the Tamils after the war and assist the President garner international support to face the Geneva issue, Rural Economic Affairs Minister S.B. Dissanayaka said today.

He also added that four Ministers from the SLFP resigning from the current Government was not an issue.

I accepted the Ministerial portfolio on a request by the President as the Party Leader to pass the 19th amendment and now the UNP is procrastinating on the 20th amendment, Dissanayaka added.
