The Government on Wednesday (27) affirmed that relationship between China and Sri Lanka will continue at a strong level.

The observation was made by Foreign Affairs Ministry Spokeswoman Mahishini Colonne at the weekly press briefing held in Colombo.

“President Maithripala Sirisena was warmly welcomed during his state visit to China last March. It is the wish of the new Government to further strengthen ties with China,” she added.

Colonne also went on to say that the new Government will always try to maintain an impartial foreign policy.
