The Met. Department on Monday said that there will be showers at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

Thundershowers may develop at a few places in the Eastern and Uva provinces during the afternoon as well.

Strong southwesterly winds with speeds about 60-70 km/hr will occur over the country (especially over western slope of the central hills) and surrounding sea areas are expected.
