Three from same family dead, girl critical after collision

Three persons from the same family were killed while another girl was critically injured after a three-wheeler collided with a van in Iluppakadavai, Kilinochchi.

Police said that four persons, including the little girl, who were traveling in the three-wheeler from Mannar to Jaffna were admitted to the Kilinochchi Hospital following the collision.

However, three of them had succumbed to injuries shortly after admittance while the girl, who is in critical condition, has been transferred to the Anuradhapura Hospital for further treatment.

The driver of the van has been arrested in connection with the incident while Iluppakadavai Polcie is conducting an investigation.
