President to consider final UPFA nominations list today

A group of senior MPs will meet the President today (07) to take a final decision on whom to give nominations at the forthcoming General Election under the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) ticket.
The meeting is scheduled to be held tonight, a source close to the UPFA told Ada Derana.
Parliamentarians Rajitha Senaratne, S.B. Dissanayake, Mahinda Amaraweera, Susuil Premajayantha, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa will attend the meeting.
“A final decision will be taken about the nominations list of the UPFA. Nominations will not be given to the corrupt politicos” the source added.
