Two dead, 3 critical after car-lorry collide

Two persons were killed while another three were critically injured following a traffic collision involving a lorry and a car in the Weligama area on the Galle-Matara main road this morning. 

Five persons including two women and two small boys were reportedly inside the car at the time of the accident.

The 39-year-old driver of the car and a 32-year-old woman, from Kapugama, died in the crash while the other woman and two children have been admitted to the Matara Hospital.

The driver of the lorry has been arrested over the incident.
