Kolonnawa UC Deputy Chairman arrested

The Deputy Chairman of Kolonnawa Urban Council, Suresh Kodagoda, has been arrested for allegedly obstructing a police officer.
It has been reported that the suspect was arrested after he threatened the officer-in-charge (OIC) of the Wellampitiya Police Station.
He is expected to be produced before the Colombo magistrate’s Court today.
Kodagoda had allegedly threatened the police officer and demanded that he not produced two suspects arrested over an assault incident before court.
