Woman arrested over murder in Nugethota

A woman has been arrested for the assault and murder of a 40-year-old man in the Nugethota area in Elpitiya.
Police said that the incident had occurred at around 5.30am today behind a house in Nugethota.
The woman arrested over the murder is said to be the owner of the house.
The postmortem examination is to be carried out following the magistrate’s inquiry today.
The victim is a resident of Kaluthara.
