The Kaduwela magistrate’s Court today (26) issued an injunction order on unemployed graduates not to hold protest demonstrations beyond Polduwa junction, the Police Spokesman said.

The order was issued after the police requested the Magistrate that the injunction was needed since the Parliament is scheduled to meet today.

The injunction order will prevent protesters from holding demonstrations near the Parliament, entering Parliament road and as well as blocking it, according to the police.

Severe traffic congestion had reported near the Galle Face due to a demonstration staged by a group of unemployed graduates two weeks ago as well.
