Sangabodhi College principal arrested over Rs 50,000 bribe

The principal of Sri Sangabodhi College in Nittambuwa has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption. 

He was arrested this morning while soliciting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a parent to enroll a Grade 6 student into the school. 

The suspect is to be produced before Attanagalla Magistrate’s Court later today, the commission said.
