One killed, three injured in shooting near Kirimetiya junction

One person was killed and two others were injured after an unidentified gunman opened fire at them in Weeraketiya near the Kirimetiya junction, a short while ago on Sunday (28) morning.
The gunman who reportedly arrived in a hybrid van, fled the scene soon after the incident, it was reported. The police are investigating to identify the suspect.
The wounded persons with life-threatening injuries have been admitted to the Tangalle District hospital, Ada Derana reporter said. The remains of the deceased are also deposited at the same hospital pending an autopsy.
