Two DIGs promoted to the rank of Senior DIG

Two Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) of Police have been promoted to the rank of Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police by the National Police Commission, its secretary Ariyadasa Cooray said. 

DIG (Galle Division) Mr. S.A.D.S. Gunawardena and DIG (Training) Mr. M.R. Latiff have been promoted to the rank of Senior DIG in this manner with affect from April 16 and 20 respectively.

Meanwhile two Superintendents of Police (SPs) have also been promoted to the rank of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).

SP Mr. C.A. Premashantha, who is serving in the Financial Fraud Investigations Division (FCID), has been promoted to the rank of SSP with effect from June 07, 2012. 

SP Mr. H.H. Chulasiri of the police security division has been promoted to the rank of SSP with effect from January 14, 2014.
