Woman stabs husband to death as he slept, calls police

An individual has been murdered while he slept allegedly by his wife in the Udawalawa area in Embilipitiya this morning.
Police said that the 46-year-old man’s wife had attacked his throat with a sharp object resulting in his death following severe bleeding.
The woman had later informed police regarding the incident herself. A family dispute is beloved to have been the cause for the gruesome murder.
The victim’s wife and the murder weapon have been taken into custody while Udawalawa Police is conducting further investigations.
