23 hospitalized after wasp attack in Sigiriya

At least 23 persons were injured and hospitalized after a swarm of wasps attacked a group visiting the Sigiriya rock this morning (02), Ada Derana reporter said.
 

The wounded have been admitted to Sigiriya and Dambulla Hospitals and are currently receiving treatment.


Tourists and locals visiting Sigiriya have been attacked by wasps on several previous occasions as well while entrance to the rock.
