CID questions Anura Senanayake over Thajudeen case

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is recording a statement from former Senior DIG Anura Senanayake regarding the murder case of national Rugby player Wasim Thajudeen.
The former DIG was summoned to the CID this morning (23), an official said.
Earlier, former Crime OIC of the Narahenpita police Sumith Perera was arrested for allegedly hiding evidence in this case as well.
The Colombo Additional Magistrate had too instructed the CID to expedite investigations into the death of the Sri Lankan rugby player, whose body was found on May 17, 2012 inside his car which appeared to have crashed into a wall in Kirulapone.
