The Ministry of Agriculture has introduced a new 24-hour hotline for the public to inform regarding any crops, reservoirs, bunds of canals or dams damaged due to the heavy rainfall which was experienced in the country.

Therefore the public can dial 1918 with effect from today (26) and provide information regarding damages incurred as a result of the disaster situation.

The information will be relayed to relevant parties for consideration in order to provide necessary relief as immediately as possible, the ministry said in a statement.
