Water levels in Kalu, Gin Ganga may go up

Water levels in the Kalu Ganga and Gin Ganga may go up and residents in the lower river bank areas have been alerted to be vigilant, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) announced today (29). 


Public in Mallakanda, Palatupana, Tawalama, Baddegama, and Dodangoda have been alerted to be vigilant, the DMC added.


Around 100 people still missing following landslides in the country last week are believed dead, authorities said after failing to find signs of life under tonnes of mud.
