Heavy traffic on Flower Road due to teachers’ protest

Severe traffic congestion has been reported along Flower Road in Colombo due to a protest being staged by teachers. 

The protest march has been organised by the Ceylon Teachers’ Union (CTU) against the non-placement of graded principals and is heading towards the Prime Minister’s Office in Colombo. 

Representatives of the CTU are expected to hold talks at the PM’s Office.
