Navy seizes 156 kg of Kerala Cannabis

The naval personnel who were on duty at the Radar Station at SLNS Therapuththa in Silawathurai belonging to the North Western Naval Command have seized 156 kilograms of Kerala Cannabis.


During the search carried out in the beach area of Arippu, following a detection, naval personnel managed to recover 156.5 kg of Kerala Cannabis abandoned in the Arippu Beach, the Navy said in a statement.


Subsequently the haul of cannabis was handed over to Narcotic Division Mannar for onward legal action.
