US Naval Ship arrives at the Port of Colombo

The US Navy’s vessel “LPD-18 USS New Orleans” has arrived at the Port of Colombo on a goodwill visit. 


The ship was ceremonially welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with naval traditions on her arrival.


During the six-day official visit, the crew of “USS New Orleans” is due to take part in an array of programmes organized by the Sri Lanka Navy. 


The ship is scheduled to leave Sri Lanka on 29th of this month having conducted a passage exercise (PASSEX) with the Sri Lanka Navy.
