Nine injured after van topples into precipice

At least nine persons were wounded and hospitalised after a van veered off the road and toppled into a precipice near the 24th km post on the Rawana Ella Road in Ella.
Police said that the wounded passengers and the driver were admitted to the Bandarawela District Hospital for treatment.
According to reports, a total of 11 persons including 6 children were traveling in the van at the time of the accident.
Ella Police is conducting an investigation.
