The disciplinary inquiries against the Joint Opposition members would be halted, if they attend party’s convention in Kurunegala on September 04, Western Province Chief Minister Isuru Devapriya says.
The observation was made in respond to a question made by a reporter at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (25).
“Proposed and already commenced disciplinary inquiries against the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) members who represent the Joint Opposition would be halted and will be pardoned, if they attend party’s convention in Kurunegala,” Devapriya added.
He also went on to say the first priority of the SLFP is to identify and stop the moves that could split the party.
