Excise Duty imposed on gas oil and diesel

The Ministry of Finance says that an Excise Duty of Rs 13 per litre has been imposed on Gas Oil and Diesel with effect from August 20.
The previous excise duty had been Rs 3 per litre.
The above Gazette Notification was issued under the Excise (Special Provisions) Act No. 13 of 1989.
