Indian national arrested with heroin at BIA

An Indian national has been arrested with 838 grams of heroin in his possession while attempting to enter the country at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake.
The suspect was arrested by the Police Narcotics Bureau after he arrived from India this morning (28).
A detention order will be obtained through the Negombo Magistrate and further investigations are being carried out by the Police Narcotics Bureau, an official said.
