No bail for Wimal’s brother

Sarath Weerawansa, the brother of former Minister Wimal Weerawansa, has been remanded until 07 September, Ada Derana reporter said.


The suspect was remanded after being produced before the Fort Magistrate’s Court a short while ago on Thursday (01) afternoon.


Sarath Weerawansa was arrested as he arrived at the FCID to give a statement on the allegations of misusing vehicles belonging to the President Secretary Office and the State Engineering Corporation of Sri Lanka, this morning.
