Nine injured after two vans collide head-on in Badulla

Nine persons including 6 women were injured and hospitalized following a head-on collision involving two vans near the Badulla Police Station on the Bandarawela-Badulla main road today. 

Preliminary inquiries have revealed that the accident was caused due to the driver of the van arriving from Hambantota had fallen asleep on the wheel. 

The wounded have been admitted to the Badulla General Hospital, however none of them are in critical condition, according to hospital sources.
