Fighter jet bomb found in Killinochchi

An unexploded bomb believed to be fired from a fighter jet during the war time has been found in Kilinochchi, police said.


The bomb weighing around 300 kgs was found from a forest in Dharmapuram area following a tip-off received by the Dharmapuram police, an official said.


The bomb has been defused with the assistant from the Special Task Force. The Dharmapuram police are conducting further investigations.
