Uni student killed in motorbike accident

An undergraduate of the University of Peradeniya has been killed after his motorbike had collided with a lorry, police said.


The accident occurred on Kandy - Galaha road early hours of this morning.


The student who sustained life threatening injuries following the accident had succumbed to injuries upon his admission to the Peradeniya Teaching hospital.


The lorry driver has been arrested and he will be produced at the Kandy Magistrate’s Court today.
