People across the country celebrated the election victory of President-elect Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
The former Defence Secretary, who contested in the Presidential Election 2019 under Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) has secured an epic victory.
The overall results of the Presidential Election were announced last evening (17) by the Chairman of the Election Commission Mahinda Deshapriya.
Accordingly, Gotabaya Rajapaksa will serve as the 7th Executive President of Sri Lanka.
