The Ministry of Power and Energy says that there will be no power cuts from today as the second generator at the Norochcholai Coal Power Plant has been restored.

Scheduled power cuts were announced by the ministry following the breakdown at the Norochcholai power plant on Saturday (15).

Initially it was announced that power cuts lasting two and a half hours during the day and one hour during the night would be imposed, however that was later cut down to 1 hour in the morning and half hour in the evening.
