Wet weather to continue - Met. Department

Rainy condition is expected to enhance to a certain extent in Northern and South-western parts of the island in next few days.


Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Northern, Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.


Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere particularly, after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy falls (about 75-100mm) are also likely at some places.


There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
